§ 50-62. Purpose.

The ordinance from which this article is derived is enacted by virtue of the powers provided in O.C.G.A. § 48-13-51. The purpose of this article is to enact an excise tax on rooms, lodgings and accommodations operating in the unincorporated areas of the county for the purposes of promoting, attracting, stimulating, and developing conventions and tourism in the county and for the provision of other local government services.
